Member Tour: King’s Inns invites members to visit the Registry of Deeds on 23 October
The Registry of Deeds operates as part of Tailte Éireann, an independent Government agency under the aegis of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. The Registry of Deeds established by an Act of Parliament in 1707, is one of the oldest continuously functioning state offices in Ireland. The property records held are a valuable source for family, local, social and economic history from 1708 to date.
