Take part in the King’s Inns Summer Photography Competition
The 1st edition of King’s Inns Summer Photography Competition is OPEN, entry date extended to 15th September.
The competition invites members of the King’s Inns community to capture a key moment or highlight during the traditional break period for barristers in Ireland. This can be across a wide range of areas: life moments, experiences, locations visited, people, connections with nature, etc. Winning photos will be displayed in King’s Inns and on social media during the Michaelmas term. A number of prizes are available; more details are to follow.

Competition T&Cs
- Please submit your images by email to members@kingsinns.ie.
- Include which category you are entering – Member, Student etc.
- All photographs submitted must be your own work.
- Entrants must ensure that photographs of people are not identifiable.
- Basic photo enhancements are allowed, e.g., brightness, contrast, cropping, etc. No advanced photo elements are permitted, e.g., cloning, AI.
- Please submit photos of high resolution, free from watermarks, signatures, date stamps, and social media filters or lenses.
- Please submit photos in JPEG format (.jpg). Please include a caption to explain your picture, e.g., Sunrise over the Dingle Peninsula. Picture: Diane Sutton
- The photographer will always retain full copyright to their image.* All material published is protected by copyright, and no one is allowed to copy or reproduce anything without consent.* Competition is independently adjudicated; the judge’s decision is final.
- You may enter as many photographs as you like. Photos must have been taken between August 1 and September 15, 2024, the traditional barrister break period in Ireland.
- ‘Member’ prize category includes Members of King’s Inns (all BL graduates) and Subscribing Members (those BL graduates that have applied to be a Subscribing Member, categories are defined in more detail here).
The deadline to send your images is midnight (Irish time) on Sunday, September 15.
It is assumed that by entering the competition, you have read and accepted the above rules.
