IWLA 2020 Women Lawyers of the Year Awards

The Irish Women Lawyers’ Association are delighted to announce that their Annual “Celebrating Women Lawyers” Gala Event will be held virtually on Wednesday, 16 December 2020 at 7.30 pm.

The IWLA is delighted to announce that this year the IWLA “Woman Lawyer of the Year” award will be awarded jointly to Maura McNally SC, Chair of The Bar of Ireland, and Michele O’Boyle, outgoing President of the Law Society of Ireland, in recognition of their exceptional leadership in a time of great strife and challenge. Maura McNally, who is also a Council member of King’s Inns, is the second female Chair of The Bar of Ireland, while Michele O’Boyle is the fourth female President of the Law Society of Ireland and 2020 records the first time both professions have had a concurrent female lead.

Senator Ivana Bacik, IWLA Women Lawyer of the Year 2019 will present the awards at an online ceremony.
