Free webinar hosted by Irish Legal News on the changing landscape of data protection

As privacy and data protection issues increasingly dominate the headlines, Irish Legal News is hosting a free webinar on Thursday 6 August at 2pm on the changing landscape of data protection in Ireland and abroad.

Chaired by alumnus Andrew McKeown BL, the event will hear from:

• Data protection specialist Simon McGarr on the recent Schrems II ruling and its consequences,
• Defamation lawyer Paul Tweed, partner at specialist firm Gateley Tweed, on the case for tighter regulation of the social media giants,
• Olga Cronin, policy officer with the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, on the data protection record of the Irish government,
