The Bar of Ireland’s Green Street Lecture Series 2021
Hosted by The Bar of Ireland, the 2021 Green Street Lecture Series will feature talks on a range of luminaries from Irish legal history. Revisiting landmark cases and their lasting impact, the lectures will be delivered by some of Ireland’s most prominent legal figures.
LSRA report highlights 33% increase in complaints about legal practitioners
The LSRA today (Wednesday 7 April 2021) publishes its first complaints report for 2021, which shows it received 805 complaints in a six month period, a 33% increase on the previous reporting period.
Online Interactive Music and Movement Class for under 5’s
King’s Inns are delighted to host a kid’s interactive music and movement class with Moo Music Wicklow this Saturday, April 3, at 10 am. This FREE event is open to members, current students from all programmes and the wider alumni community with kids under 5.
As we are stuck at home and staying within our 5km, we are all starting to appreciate nature and find exciting edible things to smell and eat on our daily walks. We thought we would ask Claire Hanley – our food and events partner – to share a Spring recipe with our community for the Easter break.
King’s Inns has put together a short Spring Stress Management series of events for all students. Members and the wider alumni community are welcome to participate.
This important competition occurs annually and is contested by a team from the King’s Inns and Bar students from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s University, Belfast.
The McCarthy Impromptu Debating Competition takes place on Monday, February 22, at 6.00 pm via Zoom. There will be two or three student debaters speaking (briefly) on a motion that will have been given to them earlier that day. Contributions to the debate are generally light–hearted and humorous.
