How to make an application
All applications are processed online through our Application Portal. You must create an account on the Portal at the beginning of the application process in order to verify your personal details.
Once you verify your email address in the Portal, you can then proceed with your application and pay for the application fee or the course fee. Please check below and the individual course page for admission requirements and payment terms.
To guarantee a space on one of our courses, tuition fees must be paid at the time specified.

Diploma in Legal Studies
Closing date for applications: Midnight (Irish time) on July 31, 2025.
The application fee before midnight on July 31, is €200 after which a late application fee of €300 applies. Application Fees are Non–Refundable.

Degree of Barrister–at–Law
Closing date for applications: Midnight (Irish time) on May 31, 2025. Late applications accepted up until Midnight (Irish time) on July 1.
The non–refundable application fee before midnight on May 31 is €600. This includes the entrance examination fee. Late entries accepted until midnight on July 1, which is subject to a non–refundable late application fee of €1,000.

Advanced Diploma Law Courses
Payment in full is required to secure your place on on the courses below. King’s Inns does not accept part payments for our advanced diploma courses.
- Payment can be made through the Application Portal using your credit / debit card (please make sure your bank allows you to process the full payment in one go), or
- If your employer is paying for your studies, you will require a valid PO number in advance of making the application, the name and email address for the person responsible for payment in your organisation.
- The invoice will issue directly to the person whose details you enter. The participant will also be able to download a copy of the invoice through the Application Portal. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their employer has paid in full within the timeframe required in order to secure a place. King’s Inns cannot contact your employer for payment, we can only liaise with the applicant.
- Please see each course page for requirements around applications and payments. Some courses require full payment upon application. Where there are no admission requirements, you are automatically given a spot on the course once you make your application through the Application Portal and pay the course fee.
- Where courses have a selection criterion in place, payment is not necessary until King’s Inns notify you that you have been accepted and allocated a spot on the course.
- Subscribing members: You must apply your discount code upon application. It cannot be applied after the application is made.
